Oh date night. I often get asked what to wear for date night, but the answer isn’t always so black and white, especially once winter rolls around in South Florida and the weather becomes even more unpredictable than usual. Date night is supposed to be a fun evening spent unwinding from the day together, but it can be hard to get in the mood when you’re staring into your closet with zero clue what to wear. Before deciding on your ideal date night outfit, consider what the evening will entail and the activities you’ll be doing together. Figuring out the vibe of the evening will help narrow down your outfit options, making it much easier to land the perfect look.
Whether date night is drinks and dinner at that brand new restaurant, or a cozy night in with Thai delivery and a House of Cards binge, we’re sharing below some of our favorite outfit ideas for every type of date night. Don’t forget to bring a light jacket or blazer – it’s the perfect way to keep the look hot even as the evening temps drop!
DATE NIGHT OUTFIT #1: AT THE CINEMA
Movie theaters are notoriously chilly, so comfort is key. Keep it flirty yet casual with these vegan leather pants paired with a vintage concert tee and denim jacket. Add a heel and a pop of lip color for added effortless sex appeal.
DATE NIGHT OUTFIT #2: ON THE TOWN
Grabbing margaritas at El Vez is the perfect excuse to dress up for your S.O. Our favorite no-fail outfit: a curve-hugging classic LBD, classic heels, and a romantic blowout à la Charlotte York.
DATE NIGHT OUTFIT #3: NETFLIX AND CHILL
This one can often be the trickiest outfit to pull together. If only pajamas were acceptable! Master the art of effortlessness with a floral sundress for a look that’s both comfortable and pulled together. Pair it with delicate jewelry and a denim jacket or blazer and you’re ready to make a quick Halo Top grocery run after your TV marathon.
DATE NIGHT OUTFIT #4: ANNIVERSARY DATE
We love any excuse to get dolled up, especially when an anniversary is involved. A cocktail dress in a super-flattering shape and a color that complements your skin tone will remind you and your guy that you’ve still got it. Note to self, pairs well with champagne! Hot tip, this dress is also perfect for all of your upcoming holiday parties.
DATE NIGHT OUTFIT #5: FIRST DATE
A floral lingerie-inspired blouse gives off the perfect first impression – sultry yet sweet. Paired with your favorite skinny jeans and it’s a fool-proof way to nail your first date look.
