Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie, a twenty-something former ballerina turned PR pro living in a sub-tropical paradise in South Florida. Addicted to fashion, I started The Style Bungalow in March 2014 as a way to share my personal, relatable style, inspirations and thoughts – one fab outfit at a time.

I’m a firm believer that the choices we make in our day-to-day outfits can send a powerful message. From cool confidence to chic to free-spirited and creative, it’s important to make sure you’re reflecting who you are through your personal style…

When I’m not home blogging, working or dancing the night away, I can be found running around town searching for on-trend pieces, spending time with my friends and family or soaking up the beautiful Florida sun.

How did you start Fashion Blogging?
I started my blog while working at a corporate public relations firm two years ago. It was a big step for me to put myself out there because I was shy, but knew starting one could lead to a career in fashion. Plus, I loved fashion! So, everyday I would share an outfit; I devoted all my extra time on the weekends to shooting and blogging.

How would you describe your style?
This is always such a tough question for me! I’d definitely say my personal style changes based on my location, friends, music I’m listening to so it’s hard to say. I tend to be different and keep my looks classic, chic and effortless. I believe you shouldn’t appear like you’re trying too hard.

What are some pros and cons to Fashion Blogging?
Pros: I’ve been able to experience things I would have never imagined doing – like shooting advertising campaigns for major brands, styling and shopping – for a living! It’s been an absolute dream come true. I’ve also learned about things like SEO, website design and photography.

Cons: It’s hard work. There are no shortcuts to running a blog. You have to be consistent in order to grow a following, which requires countless hours of shooting, editing, writing and so much more…

Where do you find your style inspiration?
I  find inspiration in where I’m at, the music I’m listening to, friends I’m hanging out with, my favorite bloggers… I also find inspiration in things like textiles, nature and architecture.

One piece of advice you would give to any start up bloggers?
BE YOURSELF! There are way too many bloggers out there who feel the need to wear what’s popular and trendy in order to fit in and grow. It’s important to stand out for your own unique style and to be confident in that! I find it so refreshing whenever I find a blogger who’s putting herself out there wearing what she loves and not what everyone likes. That’s what having a personal blog is all about!

Favorite place to work on your blog? Creative Space?
One of my favorite spots to work out of is a coworking space in Lake Worth called the “Social House”(click here to see it: or out of any cute café.

I was born and raised in Florida to a family of entrepreneurs. They instilled a passion in me for being a hard working, independent woman.  I’m married to my college sweetheart for just over 4 years. I’m a full time attorney, COO of my mother’s company Mattress Helper and fashion blogger.

lawoffashion-1How did you start Fashion Blogging?
It was a combination of needing a creative outlet from my day job of being an attorney, coupled with the problem that I would always spend time getting dressed and doing my makeup in the morning, and my husband would never see the “work” I put into it because he would still be sleeping. Also, I work in a family business; just me, my mom and my dad. I work 10 hours a day so I was always too tired to go out after work. I wanted to document the outfits and the time I put into my morning routine!

What are some pro’s and con’s of Fashion Bloggers?
Pros: Meeting amazing people, being a part of a community and working with incredible brands! Cons: It’s surprisingly time consuming!

Where do you find your style inspiration?
Everywhere! You can pick 1 article of clothing that can inspire your whole look. Sometimes I’ll look at actresses, models, even mannequins in a store for style inspiration.

One piece of advice you would give to any start up bloggers?
Don’t do it for the money, do it because its your passion! Eventually the money will come to you.
