GO SAINTS!!!!

Living in South Florida presents me with many opportunities. We have beautiful beaches, year round warm weather, south beach, clubs, great shopping, and the list goes on and on. One of the GREATEST  is being able to go to Dolphin home games at Land Shark stadium and needless to say Super Bowl 2010! 

 A lot of my family is from New Orleans and when we found out that the Saints would be in the Super Bowl an impromptu to family gathering was arranged. We spent the weekend eating jambalaya (I don’t think I will be wearing my skinny jeans for a few days!) and showing them the best of what Ft. Lauderdale has to offer. They even stopped by Lilac And Lilies for a visit!

Then the big day arrived, Super Bowl Sunday. I wore my Hudson jeans, a black Sugar Lips cami, and my Drew Brees jersey. My  aunt even brought some masks with her from New Orleans so they added a fun element to my outfit. You could feel the energy at the stadium before we arrived there. Colts and Saints fans all were in great spirits. We settled into our box and the game began!

The Colts were the first to score but that didn’t last long. The Saints were soon leading! At halftime The Who performed which was great to see. They put on an excellent show with a light display that light up the stadium. I even ran into Condoleezza Rice, Jimmy Buffet (super nice) and Evander Holyfield.

Yes, the Saints did it! They won the Super Bowl which I am elated about. After all the hardship that people in New Orleans had gone through I think that this gives them and renewed sense of pride. Go Saints!!!!  The Colts played an excellent game as well but, well, someone had to win. What an amazing night this was. Like all our blogs please feel free to posts your comments. Spring has Sprung!

Alright I know what you all are thinking. . .spring? Really?  My response, YES SPRING! I know it’s only January but spring fashions are already arriving here at Lilac And Lilies and we are ready for it. This season we have picked up some really great new lines like BB Dakota, Gorjana, Bailey 44 and Gypsy 05, to name a few.  Don’t worry we still have all your other favorites like Sugar Lips, Rebecca Taylor, Black Halo and Mink Pink.

I am very excited about BB Dakota. They just recently picked up a lot of press for being featured in the movie New Moon. The Spring/Summer line is outstanding! It’s a mix of girly dresses and fabrics with a sexy yet playful edge. I can’t wait to get the Brian tank in it’s so cute; it has a mesh back that’s going to go great with a bandeau top. To top off my look I’m going to accessorize with Gorjana jewelry. They have amazing accessories that are affordable. The celebrities are fans of this line too.

You guys asked for it so we got it, Bailey 44. They are super chic but have a hard edge for those of you who love to rock.  I can’t wait for you to see the pieces we picked! Another great spring/summer line is Gypsy 05. The designer Dotson Shohom has some great maxi dresses and tanks. The coolest part is that Michelle got to meet him in NYC, so cool.
