Owner of Lilac and Lilies: Michelle’s Parisian Paradise!

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

I just came back from what is believed to be the fashion capital of the world, Paris! Every summer I try and go on a trip and well, let’s say I went all out on this one. We were in France for a total of 11 days. 3 days in Paris, 4 days in Normandy, and 4 days in the south of France.

On my first official day in Paris, we were walking on Avenue Montaigne and you would never guess what I stumbled on… a Manoush store. I just had to go in. It was so whimsical and feminine. I noticed they had the “Top Noir” and the “Embroidered Top”, which we have in stock! I was so excited to see Lilac and Lilies clothing in Paris.

Seeing the Eiffel Tower was another iconic moment. It is an image I have always dreamed of seeing ever since I was a little girl. You can’t help to feel a bit of emotion when you actually walk right up to it.

Amazing!

The women in France dressed in a casual chic way. I saw lots of distressed denim, oversized accessories, like a great statement ring (check out ours by Mali Sabatasso) and soft leather totes.

I had and amazing chance to go to Grasse and visit Galimard’s Perfume Factory. It is here where I formulated Lilac and Lilies first scent. It is reminiscent of walking through a lavender field on a bright summer day. Subtle lotus flowers accent the undertones of oakwood, eastern sandalwood, and a gentle overtone of chocolate, sweet almonds and sugar. Soft and powdery, simple, yet elegant.
