Kelli

Hi There!
My name is Kelli and I am the new manager here at Lilac and Lilies. I am super excited to be a part of the Lilac and Lilies team. I just wanted to write a little something to introduce myself to all of you. So here goes…

Not only am I new to the store but also to the state of Florida. I recently moved down from Ohio after graduating from The Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion at Kent State University. Before the move I worked for EXPRESS as part of their visuals team, setting the visual standards for the stores, nationwide. While in college I had an internship for David Milosevich Casting in NYC. Working with a casting director was really great experience for me. I got to work behind the scenes of several different fashion shows at Fashion Week, Monique Lhuillier, Tadashi and Willow. I was also able to assist in castings for print and commercial for some great companies like, Old Navy, Levi’s, Kraft and Lucky Magazine.

I am very eager to use my past experiences to create new ones here at Lilac and Lilies. Michelle and I have some amazing projects in the planning process as we speak.

Here is a lil sneak peak of what is to come:
-New fall window display
-Fashion Show
-Fundraisers with a few local charities
-Michelle is heading to Las Vegas in a few days in search of some great new fashion lines and designers

So…. Keep reading for updates on what’s coming up and follow us on facebook and twitter for chances to win a gift cards to Lilac and Lilies. If you have any questions or ideas that you’d like us to know about please feel free to e-mail me at Kelli@Lilacandlilies.com.

Michelle Headshot

OK, so a lot has happened since my last blog. Lilac and Lilies launched in mid April and I can’t believe that it’s almost September. The things I learned in these past few months is more than I ever imagined I  would have encountered.

Owning a retail store and e-commerce site is a dream come true but with that comes a lot of hard work and dedication. Before I worked in this industry I took a hiatus from work all together. I always envied women such as Stephani Greenfield, owner of Scoop, for knowing that she had a never ending closet. Looking up to women such as Kimora Lee Simons and the infamous Coco Chanel is my daily source of inspiration. What makes me happiest is the look on a customer’s face when I help her find the perfect outfit. She exudes confidence and leaves with a smile on her face.

So now I find that my hard work is paying off. I am extremely proud of my website. the merchandise selection and, my store. Lilac and Lilies now has a store manager, Kelli, who will soon be blogging on the site.

As the quest for fresh and exciting merchandise continues, I will be heading out to the Magic tradeshow in Las Vegas next week. I have never shopped the west coast before so needless to say I am really excited about this show. Please keep your comments coming and happy shopping!!!!

Till next time,

Michelle
