It’s that time of year again! Miami Swim Week is around the corner. As I finalize preparations, I can’t help but feel grateful that I’ve been able to fuse my career with my passions.  I get to wake up every morning and do what I love! This upcoming swim week is no exception.

I’ll be staying at one of my absolute favorite hotels in Miami, The Setai. With its picturesque pool, incredible ocean views and impeccable attention to luxury detail, a girl can’t help but love her job, right?

As a business woman, you have to ensure that you have a sound itinerary. A Girlboss always has a plan; here’s an exclusive peek into mine.

Mornings at The Setai begin with room service and bedside coffee to start my day off right. After, I’m off to the Miami Beach Convention Center and Cabana to view collections such as *Lspace, Frankies Bikinis Blue Life, Tori Praver and many others that I will be bringing to Lilac and Lilies Boutique! Throughout it all I’m blessed to have my friends in the fashion industry by my side. They truly help me navigate my work /life balance. I’m able to get the job done and curate fabulous fashions for you all while having fun. I couldn’t think of anything I would want to do more!

While there, I’ll be on the lookout for this summer’s hottest trends.

-Frankie’s Bikinis

This “BoHo Chic” trend has taken to South Florida beaches by a storm!  Crochet is a fun and intricate way to jazz up your everyday suit with bold texture and unique, eye catching detail.

This trend has been sweeping Miami Swim Week for the past few seasons, but I love to see the figure flattering trend evolve throughout the seasons with new, outstanding variations such as cap sleeve or wrap style elements. Just throw on a cute maxi and you’ve just moved effortlessly from beach to brunch!

-Blue Life

Wearing a one piece swimsuit used to mean you were on the swim team, or you didn’t feel comfortable in a bikini… Those days are over! One of Summer 17’s hottest trends is the subtle, sexy way to bring a shot of life into your beachwear! With so many cuts and colors on the market, there’s something for everyone.  It may just may make you pack away you’re tired, old bikini.

(Tori Praver)

High waisted swimsuits rocked the 1970s. Suits inspired by bold color and flower power reigned supreme. This year’s hottest trend is a nod to that golden era of fashion where the modern swimsuit started to get wild!

After a long afternoon of being on “trend alert” it’s back to The Setai for me to people watch, and sip Pinot Grigio with friends and prepare for the night’s Runway Shows. It took me 8 years of building myself from square 1 to be invited to these prestigious shows. It was a long, hard journey, but through hard work and perseverance I was able to achieve my goals. If you’re just starting to make your dreams a reality, stick with it! Never give up! It’s hard work, but we the end result is so rewarding.

With Lilac and Lilies being a staple of the boutique swimwear circuit, I’ll be attending many shows during my three days such as:

Tori Praver,

Hammock and Runway

For Love and Lemons

Beach Bunny Swimwear

Baes and Bikinkis

And that’s just a taste! Stay tuned to our social pages to get the details on the rest 😉

After a long evening of shows, I’ll be heading to the Soho house for a nightcap. Only to wake up the next day and do it all over again!

Stay tuned to Lilac and Lilies Boutique’s social media for updates throughout the entire weekend. It’s a lot packed into 72 hours. Rubbing elbows with celebrities, networking with influencers… It’s one of Miami’s hottest annual events!  I’m thrilled to be hanging out with blogger The Salty Vogue (You can check her out, here! as well as a featured special guest blogger take over, soon to be announced.
